Getting Started
What consumer demographic or geographic filters are available?

Salesgenie’s consumer database offers over 40 filters to refine your lists. Each time you apply a filter, it will be marked with a green check mark so you can track your progress. Filters are organized into six broad categories, shown in the order they appear in the platform.

Geography

Filter by where consumers reside, including:

  • State, Metro Area, City
  • ZIP Codes and Radius searches
  • Carrier Routes and Neighborhoods
  • Streets
  • Area Codes and Phone Numbers (full or partial)

Pro Tip: If you apply multiple geographic filters (for example, Texas and Dallas), Salesgenie includes both but ensures each record is counted only once. In this example, the Texas footprint includes Dallas, so no duplicate records are created.

Consumer Characteristics

Filter by both demographics and behaviors, such as:

  • Age range or exact age
  • Gender
  • Marital status
  • Number of children
  • Household income
  • Lifestyle interests
  • Mail order purchase history
  • Investment activity
  • Technology use
  • Ethnicity
  • Language

Automobile Data

Filter by vehicle ownership, including:

  • Number of vehicles owned
  • Vehicle make, model, year, and purchase date

Important: VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) is available for download on records but may not be used as a selection criterion.

Housing Selections

Filter by housing-related details, including:

  • Type of residence
  • Length of residence
  • Size of home
  • Home value
  • Boat ownership

Sensitive Data Selections

Filter by data points that are considered sensitive, including:

  • Actual age
  • 65+ grandparents
  • Mortgage information
  • Number of credit accounts

Marketing Selections

Filter by marketing readiness and contact availability, such as:

  • Contacts per household
  • High deliverability (using mailability score)
  • Phone numbers

Important: Consumer phone number availability is governed by federal law. Phone data can only be released if you have an approved Subscription Account Number (SAN) from the Federal Trade Commission or by waiver.
